Visit with Great Grandpa

Ellie met her great-grandpa Butler for the first time. We traveled to Billings, Montana, to see him and her Grandpa Dennis and Grandma Robyn. Great-grandpa was singing her songs that his grandfather had sung to him and he made up lyrics just for Ellie.
She's wearing the Stunt Baby helmet to help the shape of the back of her head (one of the consequences of the "Back to Sleep" campaign)

Hiking Girl

We went on a hike one morning when my parents were here. Ellie liked being in the backpack and promptly fell asleep. She is heavier than I thought. We're in training for our Yosemite trip later this summer.

Fun with Grandma Marilyn and Grandpa Mike

My parents came to visit at the end of May. They helped out one day when I was working and the rest of the time we enjoyed Boise including the Farmer's Market and the Botanical Gardens

Visit to Grandma and Grandpa's with cousin Lilly

Hey, what are you doing on my changing table?

The cousin's at play.

Lillian and her mommy, Becca. We were at Simple Simon's for lunch.

Tummy time!

May Day High Tea

I wore my grandmother's hat as ladies must wear hats for tea.

Tasty tea dainties: scones, chocolate bundt cake, cream puffs and lemon bars.

Margi took dressing for tea very seriously, down to her daughter's Cinderella gloves.

My Co-Host for the May Day Tea Party, my friend Amy Baruch. She and I had a blast coming up with the menu and cooking. We served: curried chicken salad sandwiches; open-faced roast-beef sandwiches; potato-onion frittata; cream puffs; chocolate bundt cake; lemon bars; and of course, scones.
